This role is essential in advancing our organizational mission through strategic planning, relationship management, and innovative fundraising strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nonprofit management, extensive experience with donor relations, and proficiency in various digital marketing and database management tools. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organizational goals, including major gifts, planned giving, and grant proposals. Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors and community partners to foster ongoing support. Plan, coordinate, and oversee special events to maximize engagement and fundraising outcomes. Manage donor database to ensure accurate data collection, segmentation, and reporting. Write compelling grant proposals and reports to secure funding from government agencies, foundations, and other grant-making entities. Utilize digital marketing platforms and social media channels to enhance outreach efforts. Collaborate with internal teams on marketing campaigns, email marketing initiatives, and public relations activities to increase visibility. Monitor budgets related to development activities and ensure efficient allocation of resources for maximum impact. Conduct research on potential funding sources and develop strategies for donor cultivation and solicitation of major gifts. Requirements Proven experience in nonprofit development or fundraising roles with a focus on donor relations and major gift solicitation. Excellent proposal writing skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives for grant applications and donor communications. Demonstrated success in event planning, digital marketing campaigns, and public relations initiatives. Strong negotiation skills coupled with the ability to build lasting relationships with diverse stakeholders. Experience in budgeting for development activities along with strategic planning capabilities. Familiarity with nonprofit industry grant writing standards as well as knowledge of wills, trusts & estate law related to planned giving is advantageous. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in data collection, database management, and report generation. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment; prior university or nonprofit experience is a plus.
