As Eden Centers' senior development leader, the Director develops and executes the organization's annual fundraising strategy, cultivates and stewards key donor and funder relationships, oversees development operations and staff, and ensures fundraising efforts are aligned with organizational priorities and long-term sustainability. The Director also plays a key role in Eden Centers' capital campaign and expansion efforts, helping to cultivate and secure major philanthropic investments to support the organization's continued growth. The Director works closely with the CEO, COO, executive leadership, finance team, and Board of Directors and serves as a trusted advisor on fundraising strategy, revenue opportunities, donor engagement, and external positioning. This position reports directly to the COO and supervises the development team, including Grant Coordinator and a Grant Writer. Fundraising Strategy, Revenue & Donor Development Develop and execute Eden Centers' annual fundraising plan in alignment with the organizational budget, strategic plan, and programmatic priorities. Lead efforts to meet annual contributed revenue goals and grow and diversify funding from individual donors, major gifts, corporate partners, foundations, events, campaigns, and community giving. Monitor fundraising performance against annual goals and budget projections, identify gaps and opportunities, and adjust strategy throughout the year. Work closely with the CEO, COO, and finance team on fundraising projections, revenue tracking, reconciliation, and the development department budget. Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors, major gift prospects, corporate partners, sponsors, and other supporters. Develop strategies to strengthen donor acquisition, retention, engagement, and increased giving. Manage key donor relationships through meetings, tours, personalized outreach, solicitations, impact updates, and ongoing stewardship. Provide regular fundraising reports and updates to the CEO, COO, executive leadership, and Board of Directors. Capital Campaign, Grants & Institutional Giving Play a key leadership role in Eden Centers' capital campaign and expansion efforts, working with the CEO,COO, Board, campaign leadership, to secure significant philanthropic investments. Identify and cultivate capital campaign and major gift prospects and develop individualized strategies for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Develop campaign proposals, case statements, presentations, and other donor-facing materials and maintain accurate tracking of prospects, commitments, and campaign progress. Lead Eden Centers' institutional funding strategy across foundation, corporate, local, state, and federal funding opportunities. Oversee and contribute directly to grant applications and reports, particularly complex, high-priority, and government funding opportunities. Coordinate with clinical, finance, and executive staff to develop accurate narratives, budgets, outcomes, and supporting materials. Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective institutional funders. Events, Communications & Community Engagement Lead strategy and execution for Eden Centers' fundraising events and campaigns, including our annual fall fundraiser, Building Dreams, GiveNOLA Day, and other annual appeals. Establish event and campaign revenue goals, budgets, sponsorship strategies, timelines, and outreach plans and evaluate performance following each initiative. Oversee sponsorship outreach, donor recognition, event communications, mailing lists, logistics, and post-event stewardship. Oversee Eden Centers' external communications and storytelling, including donor appeals, newsletters, impact reports, campaign materials, and other fundraising communications. Oversee Eden Centers' digital communications platforms, including Mailchimp, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and the organizational website, ensuring content is current, consistent, engaging, and mission-aligned. Work with clinical staff to gather impact data and organizational updates and ensure survivor-related communications are trauma-informed, survivor-centered, and protective of confidentiality. Oversee third-party fundraising initiatives, community donation drives, and in-kind donations, including maintaining current needs and online wish lists and stewarding in-kind donors and community partners. Represent Eden Centers at donor meetings, tours, community events, funder meetings, and other external engagements. Development Operations & Data Management Oversee NEON CRM and maintain accurate and organized donor, prospect, gift, campaign, and engagement records. Ensure gifts and in-kind contributions are appropriately recorded, acknowledged, tracked, and reconciled with finance. Maintain standards for donor data, database cleanliness, gift processing, and development documentation. Create reports and dashboards to track revenue, donor acquisition and retention, major gifts, campaigns, grants, and other key fundraising metrics. Manage donor segmentation and mailing lists for appeals, events, newsletters, and stewardship. Maintain an organized development calendar and systems for donor follow-up, grant deadlines, campaigns, events, and other department priorities. Continuously improve development processes and systems to increase efficiency, consistency, and long-term sustainability. Leadership & Collaboration Lead and supervise development staff, establishing clear goals, responsibilities, priorities, and expectations. Balance strategic leadership with hands-on participation in fundraising, communications, events, grants, and development operations as needed. Work closely with the CEO and executive leadership on organizational strategy, fundraising priorities, major donor relationships, and external opportunities. Collaborate with finance and clinical teams to align fundraising efforts with organizational needs, outcomes, and capacity. Engage and support the Board of Directors and fundraising committees in donor cultivation, events, campaigns, and community outreach. Communicate proactively with leadership regarding fundraising performance, significant donor and funder relationships, upcoming deadlines, challenges, and opportunities. Build and maintain development systems, procedures, and documentation that support an effective and sustainable department. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, public administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered. Minimum five years of progressive fundraising or nonprofit development experience, with nonprofit or human services experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated success with fundraising strategy, donor cultivation and stewardship, grant development, and revenue generation. Experience with major gifts and/or capital campaigns strongly preferred. Experience with government grants strongly preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including donor correspondence, grant proposals, appeals, reports, and public speaking. Experience with donor CRM systems; experience with
NEON CRM
preferred. Experience with email marketing, social media, and website management, including platforms such as Mailchimp, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Strong organizational, project management, data management, and analytical skills. Experience supervising staff and managing multiple areas of a development function preferred. Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, manage competing deadlines, and adapt to changing organizational priorities. High degree of integrity, discretion, and sound judgment, particularly given Eden Centers' work with survivors of human trafficking and sensitive donor and client information. Ability to travel locally for donor meetings, events, and community engagements; occasional evening and weekend work required.

Environment Requirements Primarily office-based work with regular local travel to donor meetings. Remote work may apply when necessary and approved by the supervisor. Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry event or donation materials up to approximately 25 pounds as needed.
