- Active lister Your first order of action would be to create and rollout our October fundraising event for DV Awareness month.
You would plan and organize a Wellness Tour around Houston to lead our organization's efforts in cultivating meaningful donor relationships, and securing major gifts. This pivotal role requires a passionate leader with a comprehensive understanding of nonprofit management, innovative fundraising strategies, and exceptional relationship management skills. The second order of action would be identifying and applying for applicable grants to our organization. Expect this position to be anywhere from 15-20 hours/week Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organizational goals Plan events that spread organizational awareness in the community Lead proposal writing efforts for nonprofit industry grants, foundation funding, and corporate sponsorships to secure essential resources. Oversee all aspects of event planning for fundraising events, donor appreciation gatherings, and community outreach initiatives. Manage donor databases such as Raiser's Edge and Salesforce to track contributions, analyze giving trends, and generate reports for strategic planning. Coordinate digital marketing campaigns utilizing email marketing platforms like Mailchimp to enhance outreach efforts. Conduct research on prospective donors using databases and data collection tools to identify new funding opportunities. Implement innovative donor cultivation strategies through personalized communication, volunteer management, and estate planning initiatives. Requirements Experience/ intrest in event planning. this will be a heavy event production role. Skills in setting up email marketing campaigns and PR Excellent written communication skills coupled with strategic planning capabilities to craft compelling narratives for donors and stakeholders. Experience in event planning and execution for fundraising purposes; ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in budgeting, data collection, research activities, and database management. You don't need to have plenty of experience in fundraising! Just a heart to help and serve the community with experience in event planning is an absolute plus. Experience in grant writing/ donor facing conversations is another plus.
