Job Description

The Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired SC (ABVI) empowers individuals who are blind or low vision to live fulfilling, purpose-driven lives. Through services provided across South Carolina, we help people gain independence, confidence, and opportunity. ABVI is seeking a dynamic and passionate Major Gifts Officer (MGO) to join our fundraising team. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects, develop personalized cultivation and stewardship strategies, and collaborate closely with organizational leadership, board members, volunteers, and program staff to secure transformational philanthropic support. The MGO will play a critical role in strengthening ABVI's fundraising capacity while helping lay the foundation for future comprehensive and capital campaign initiatives. With offices in Columbia, Greenville, and Charleston , this position offers the flexibility of combining onsite and remote work. The role also includes travel throughout South Carolina to build meaningful donor relationships and connect supporters with ABVI's life-changing mission.
