Job Description
The Senior Lead Principal Gift Officer provides strategic leadership in managing a portfolio of highly qualified principal gift prospects and donors with the capacity to make gifts of $10 million or more. This role leads the development and execution of highly personalized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to secure transformational philanthropic support for Texas Children's. What You'll Do Manage and grow a portfolio of principal gift prospects and donors, building meaningful, long-term relationships. Develop and execute strategies to secure principal gifts of $10 million or more. Partner with senior clinical and administrative leaders to identify philanthropic priorities and align donor interests with organizational needs. Collaborate with Major Gifts Officers, campaign volunteers, and philanthropy leadership to maximize fundraising opportunities. Lead prospect strategy, including identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Develop strong engagement strategies for fundraising volunteers and organizational partners. Maintain accurate donor and prospect information, activity, and moves management in fundraising systems. Contribute to priority fundraising events, initiatives, communications, and other Office of Philanthropy activities. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree required. 10+ years of fundraising or sales experience required. 10+ years of direct individual fundraising experience preferred, with a demonstrated track record of securing principal or major gifts. Strong relationship-building, communication, organization, and strategic planning skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work collaboratively across a complex organization, and drive results.
