At Stella Maris Growth Center (SMGC) , we don't simply supervise youth—we mentor, advocate, inspire, and create opportunities for healing. We're seeking a proactive, dependable, and purpose-driven Direct Care Professional who is passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of adolescent girls in residential treatment. What You'll Do As a Direct Care Professional, you will: Provide supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of youth. Build positive relationships through mentoring and daily engagement. Facilitate recreational, educational, and life-skills activities. Coach youth in communication, emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and independent living skills. Support appointments, transportation, community outings, and family interactions. Complete accurate and timely documentation. Collaborate with clinicians, case managers, probation officers, social workers, and the treatment team. Maintain a structured, therapeutic, and welcoming home environment. Model professionalism, integrity, and healthy decision-making every day. Come help us change lives—one interaction at a time. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Experience working with youth or at-risk populations preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care while maintaining professional boundaries. Basic computer proficiency. Valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. Ability to obtain/maintain CPR/First Aid certification, DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance, CACI clearance, TB clearance, and all required STRTP direct care clearances and training.
