SUMMARY Responsible for growing Royal Building Product's market share by generating awareness, creating demand and executing sales. Create demand with independent distribution for Royal siding products by influencing contractors, builders and architects to ask for Royal products. This position will market our products in the Des Moines, IA, Omaha, NE, & Sioux Falls, SD region . Products will include TruExterior and Royal Vinyl Siding. •Ideal candidate will sit in Des Moines, IA.•
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following: Spend 80% of time calling on and creating business with remodeling companies, architects, new construction builders, decking contractors, and other trade professionals. Spend 20% of time managing and supporting existing 2-step distribution and channel accounts and developing new accounts as needed in the assigned territory. Provide a level of professionalism in sales and technical support that makes Royal products the first choice. Learn and excel at presentation of company story and high-end "pull-through" products. Implement and execute a demand strategy in the assigned territory. Develop and review target list with the Regional Manager on a monthly basis (update your target list as new leads are found); Make a minimum of 20 quality presentations per week. Present to builders, remodelers, installers, architects, and specifiers. Develop and maintain strong working relationships and communication with the Territory Manager to communicate demand creation value back to channel partners. Increase your awareness of the distributors by participating with the Territory Managers at branch open house events (annual events); Work on leads by presenting and participating at ongoing trade shows. Work the major regional home and garden shows to develop leads; and Research the builders, contractors, and remodelers used by your competitors to develop future leads.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of two years' work experience in a related role preferred Bachelor' degree preferred Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, detail oriented An enthusiastic, self-starter with good interpersonal skills Good presentation skills and ability to speak comfortably in front of groups Working knowledge of MS office suite including teams and outlook 365 Experience with Salesforce or other deal desk systems a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Job will require up to 80% travel on average. Ability to be away from home for multiple nights per month and riding in automobiles for several hours per day is required.
