Hiring Department Graduate School Job Description The Prestigious Fellowships and Grants Specialist works with, and reports to, the Director of Postdoctoral Education and Scholar Support to design and implement programming to support graduate students seeking external funding. The Specialist will coordinate programming at all levels of postdoctoral and graduate education, including contributing to Mizzou's GradEssentials workshop series, working with faculty and staff to create custom programming for classes and programs campus-wide, and providing individual consultations for postdocs and graduate students seeking external funding. They will work closely with campus colleagues in the Office of Global and National Fellowships, the MU Writing Center, The Connector, and beyond. Programming and Outreach

• Coordinate with the Director of Postdoctoral Education and Scholar Support and campus colleagues to plan and implement annual programming for postdocs and graduate students focused on beginning their external funding journey
• Visit graduate programs and classes when invited to discuss the resources available and how to begin their external funding journey
• Prestigious fellowships programming: Assist with NSF-GRFP, develop and implement cohort programs for NIH F, AHA, and NIFA (stay abreast of current grants of interest and develop new programming as needed)
• Coordinate with DGSs and departmental staff to create a culture of external funding application support and expectations
• Collaborate with RII to assist with the development of training grant applications Developmental Consultations and Grant Proposal Development
• Meet individually with graduate students and postdocs who are interested in pursuing external funding, but unsure where to begin or where to go next
• Work individually with graduate students and postdocs on specific grants they are currently writing - review, edit, provide development assistance
• Be the grants administrator and grant writer for faculty/staff in the Graduate School and interdisciplinary programs Administration
• Maintain Teams site for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars with support materials and instructions for developing and submitting fellowship applications
• Coordinate with research development network and grant connections
• Coordinate and facilitate data collection and reporting with UDAIR, Research Analytics, etc.
• Develop and maintain Pivot queries by academic program with DGSs and share these queries with students to keep them updated about current funding opportunities in their field
• Coordinate with the Director of Postdoctoral Education and Scholar Support on programming, outreach, and areas of growth Shift

M-F, 8 AM - 5 PM

Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications PhD preferred, experience applying for external funding

Anticipated Hiring Range Salary Range:

$53,976 - $69,576 annually
