Job Description
Hiring Department Early Childhood Innovation Center (ECIC) of the Institute for Human Development (IHD) at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). Job Description The Early Childhood Quality Specialist - QAR Navigator plays a key strategic support role in advancing grant funded early childhood quality initiatives within the Early Childhood Innovation Center (ECIC). This position contributes to the successful planning, coordination, and execution of initiatives by supporting project implementation. Ideal candidates bring a collaborative, team driven mindset, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, team based environment. Ideal candidates are proactive, reliable, and eager to grow professionally while contributing to high quality execution of early childhood quality improvement efforts. Multiple positions will provide primary support for the following duties and candidates will be cross-trained: Manage the MOPD system for QAR applications and readiness review process, including supporting eligible programs through these processes. Managing the QAR assessment process, including assigning, monitoring progress completion, and quality checking assessments. Administration of assessment data collections systems and quality support subscription systems, including myTeachstone and LENA Grow. Provide navigation support for candidates pursuing the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential Managing the quality designation process, including inventory management of supplies, creation and delivery of designation materials, and data tracking of event completion. Process submissions for the Quality Assurance Report indicators with a team of reviewers Participate in project planning to streamline workflow processes Other duties as assigned. This position is classified as an on-site position located at the UMKC Volker campus. Hybrid or remote work options are not available for this position. This position is 100% grant/externally funded and is contingent on continued funding. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications Experience in early childhood education Knowledge of QAR processes and procedures Knowledge of CDA credentialing process Knowledge of the Missouri Professional Development Registry (MOPD) system Anticipated Hiring Range The anticipated hiring salary for this position has been established at $57,000 annually. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
