Job Description

All Children's Art Center of NJ (ACACNJ) is a growing 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing accessible visual and performing arts programs for children and families. We are seeking a proactive, experienced Part-Time Nonprofit Growth & Development Manager to work closely with our Founder and Executive Director and help guide ACACNJ through its next stage of growth. This is not a traditional administrative assistant position. We need a resourceful, strategic, hands-on professional who can identify opportunities, provide sound nonprofit guidance, build valuable relationships, and move projects from idea to completion. Responsibilities Identify and pursue grants, sponsorships, donors, fundraising opportunities, and community partnerships. Build relationships with schools, PTOs, municipalities, businesses, foundations, and community organizations. Research grant opportunities and assist with applications, reporting requirements, and funding calendars. Advise leadership on nonprofit operations, sustainable growth, program development, and organizational priorities. Help evaluate program enrollment, revenue, expenses, and overall financial sustainability. Develop reliable systems for tracking leads, deadlines, grants, partnerships, and follow-up activities. Help strengthen internal procedures, staff accountability, and organizational systems. Represent ACACNJ at selected meetings, networking opportunities, and community events. Take ownership of assigned initiatives and consistently follow through from planning to completion. Help develop practical fundraising, sponsorship, and community-engagement strategies.
Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate:
Has experience in nonprofit management, development, fundraising, grant writing, business development, or community partnerships. Is a genuine self-starter who can recognize what needs to be done and take appropriate action. Can identify organizational challenges and recommend practical, affordable solutions. Is organized, responsive, dependable, and comfortable working directly with an active founder. Understands the realities of helping a growing nonprofit operate with limited resources. Has excellent writing, communication, relationship-building, research, and follow-through skills. Can manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently. Is passionate about children, education, inclusion, community service, and the arts. Experience working with New Jersey nonprofits, schools, youth programs, arts organizations, grant funders, corporate sponsors, or community organizations is strongly preferred. Preferred Skills Grant research, proposal writing, and grant reporting Fundraising and sponsorship development Community outreach and partnership building Nonprofit operations and strategic planning Donor and prospect research Budget awareness and basic financial analysis Event planning and community engagement Strong professional writing and presentation skills Familiarity with donor, contact-management, email-marketing, or project-management systems Ability to establish organized processes and maintain accurate records Experience with a specific CRM platform is helpful but not required.
Position Details Schedule:
Approximately 8-12 hours per week to begin Work arrangement: Hybrid—primarily remote, with occasional in-person meetings, community events, and site visits in
New Jersey Compensation:
$35-$45 per hour, based on relevant experience Initial term: 90-day introductory period, with the opportunity for the position and hours to expand as the organization grows Some flexibility in scheduling is available, but candidates must be responsive and able to meet agreed-upon deadlines.

$52,065.46 - $62,702.49 per year
