Job Description
Social Impact Solutions is hiring a Senior Grant Strategist to help nonprofit organizations build stronger funding strategies, identify aligned grant opportunities, and develop compelling proposals that support measurable impact. We are looking for someone who can own the grant process from strategy through submission. That includes funder research, grant calendar development, proposal strategy, client communication, deadline management, writing, editing, and follow-up. Exceptional writing is required. Strategic thinking, client ownership, organization, judgment, and execution are what will define success in this role. What You Will Own As Senior Grant Strategist, you will: Build grant strategies for nonprofit clients based on their programs, funding needs, impact, and growth goals Identify and evaluate aligned grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources Lead client communication related to grant strategy, information gathering, deadlines, and proposal development Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting materials Manage grant calendars, funder requirements, deadlines, and follow-up steps Help improve internal systems, templates, workflows, and quality standards for grant services Use AI thoughtfully to improve research, writing, editing, organization, and quality assurance The Senior Grant Strategist is responsible for helping nonprofit clients secure more funding by owning the entire grant process from funding strategy and prospect research through proposal development, submission, and follow-up. This is not a production grant writing role. You'll own a portfolio of nonprofit clients and become their primary strategic advisor, managing client communication, funding strategy, grant research, proposal development, submission, and ongoing grant planning. If you're looking for a role where someone else finds opportunities, manages the clients, and hands you writing assignments, this isn't it. Exceptional writing is the price of admission. Strategic thinking, client ownership, judgment, and execution are what define long-term success in this role. This role exists for one reason: To build a scalable grant services function that consistently delivers exceptional client outcomes without requiring founder involvement in day-to-day grant production. Go to our webpage to learn more about the roll and application process. We care more about demonstrated ownership and results than years of experience. Required Personally authored 50+ competitive grant proposals across multiple nonprofit organizations or clients. Demonstrated experience managing multiple nonprofit clients simultaneously. Proven success securing foundation, corporate, and government grants. Exceptional persuasive writing ability. Strong grant prospect research experience. Experience leading client meetings and managing client communication. Outstanding project management and organizational skills. Ability to independently prioritize competing deadlines. AI fluency-you regularly use AI to improve research, drafting, editing, quality assurance, and productivity. You will report directly to one of our co-founders. We are a founder-led company that helps nonprofits measure and communicate their impact so they can raise more money and do more good. Because we're still growing, you'll have meaningful ownership from day one. You won't spend your time navigating layers of management-you'll work directly with leadership, influence how our grant services evolve, and have the opportunity to shape the systems we use as we scale. We're looking for someone who enjoys ownership, continuous improvement, and solving problems before they become emergencies.
