Employment Development Specialist Skills of Central PA State College, PA (On-Site with Travel Throughout Pennsylvania)
Salary:

Key Responsibilities Serve as Skills of Central PA's primary liaison with the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) and manage the NADSP E-Badge Academy. Coordinate the Employee Development Program application process in partnership with the Training Manager. Promote employee development opportunities through effective organizational communication strategies. Track employee certification progress using designated systems and reporting tools. Provide coaching, mentorship, and encouragement to employees throughout the certification process. Review E-Badge submissions and provide constructive feedback before submission to NADSP. Maintain accurate records and develop reports related to employee progress and outcomes. Assist with new employee orientation and ongoing workforce development initiatives. Develop, revise, and improve training materials to ensure content remains current, engaging, and effective. Support adult learning initiatives by applying proven training methods and instructional techniques. Research and implement best practices in employee development and workforce training. What We're Looking For Preferred Experience 1-3 years of experience in human services, workforce development, training, education, human resources, or a related field. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Understanding of adult learning principles and effective training techniques. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to build trust and motivate employees toward professional growth. Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Ability to travel throughout Pennsylvania as needed.

Build positive relationships with employees and leaders across the organization. Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Frontline Supervisor, Trainer, or similar leadership role. Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Experience developing training materials, curriculum, or adult learning programs. Strong coaching, mentoring, and employee engagement skills. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experience: Background (1-3 years) in human services or related field is preferred. Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) or Frontline Supervisor is preferred. A knowledge of commonly used concepts of adult learning is required. Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental and/or intellectual disabilities is highly desirable. Proven experience in mentoring and training development for diverse populations. The ability to develop curriculum, learning objectives, and/or course materials. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to educate employees effectively on learning objectives and topics. Must possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with strong analytical, problem-solving and creative skills. Must be a positive role-model for others and able to work on a team. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).

High School Diploma or GED Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in: Education.
