It is not a traditional salaried or hourly employment position . AmeriCorps VISTA members serve in capacity-building assignments designed to strengthen nonprofit organizations and communities. Members receive an AmeriCorps VISTA living allowance rather than an hourly wage or conventional salary , along with benefits and terms established by AmeriCorps based on eligibility and program requirements. About CITCA Counselors in the Community Association (CITCA) is a community-based organization working to strengthen access to supportive services, economic opportunity, wellness, and community resources. Through the CITCA Growing Stronger Communities VISTA project, CITCA is building organizational capacity to strengthen sustainable funding, partnerships, systems, and services for communities experiencing barriers to economic opportunity and healthy futures. Position Overview The Grants and Procurement VISTA Associate will help CITCA strengthen its ability to pursue and manage grants, public contracts, and procurement opportunities. The member will develop funding-readiness systems, organize program and organizational documentation, strengthen internal processes, support partnership development, and create tools that help CITCA maintain these systems beyond the service term. This is a capacity-building service assignment focused on developing sustainable organizational systems and resources. Key Responsibilities The VISTA member will: Research grant, contract, and procurement opportunities aligned with CITCA's mission and programs. Develop and maintain funding calendars and tracking tools. Identify public-sector and private funding sources. Compile procurement timelines, requirements, and opportunity information. Develop procurement-readiness materials, including capability statements, compliance checklists, and organizational profiles. Organize and document CITCA's program models, services, and outcomes. Develop program briefs, logic models, and scopes of work that clearly communicate service delivery and impact. Standardize internal documentation and workflows related to grants, contracts, and partnerships. Map current and potential community, nonprofit, and government partners. Support partnership outreach materials and documentation, including memoranda of understanding and agreements. Support basic data collection and outcome-tracking systems. Develop written guides, templates, and process documentation for grants tracking, procurement readiness, and partnership management. Organize files and resources in a centralized system to support continuity and knowledge transfer. Experience establishing funder relationships and sponsorships. The assignment is intended to create sustainable infrastructure that CITCA staff can maintain after the VISTA service term.
