This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in building a career in the nonprofit sector, public sector, government, philanthropy, or community impact. About the Position We are seeking a motivated and organized Grants Coordinator to assist with the full grant cycle for our nonprofit clients. This position is expected to begin in December 2026 and is especially well suited for students graduating in the Fall 2026 semester who are looking to transition directly into a professional role after graduation. During periods when the owner is in Tampa, the position will include regular in-person work and hands-on training. During travel periods, the role may transition to primarily remote work. The position can be structured as an internship for a recent college graduate or as a part-time role for someone with previous nonprofit, administrative, grant writing, research, or related professional experience. You will work directly with and receive training from the owner of Project501, who has more than five years of experience working for and alongside dozens of nonprofit and government organizations. You will learn how nonprofit organizations operate, how they fund their programs, how foundations and government agencies evaluate funding requests, and how professional grant development works from initial research through final submission. Because Project501 works with several different organizations, you will gain exposure to an assortment of nonprofit models, programs, communities, funding strategies, and organizational structures. Who This Role Is Great For This position may be an especially strong fit for: Students graduating in Fall 2026 who are seeking a December start Recent college graduates looking to gain meaningful professional experience Individuals interested in careers in nonprofit management, public administration, government, philanthropy, or community development Candidates interested in grant writing, fundraising, research, or nonprofit consulting Graduates in business, communications, political science, public administration, social sciences, English, or related fields Experienced professionals seeking a flexible part-time position Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Highly organized and dependable A strong writer and communicator Comfortable conducting detailed online research Able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines Detail-oriented when completing applications and working with data Comfortable using spreadsheets, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and online platforms Interested in learning about nonprofits, philanthropy, and community-based organizations Self-motivated and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively Professional when handling client information and communications Previous grant writing or nonprofit experience is helpful but not required for internship or entry-level candidates .
