Land Acquisition Manager Austin, Texas (Remote, with regular regional travel) About the Role We're seeking a highly driven, self-starter, relationship-oriented Land Acquisition Specialist to lead the sourcing and acquisition of raw land — primarily agricultural parcels — for residential development projects in the Austin/San Antonio region. This is a full-time, remote position ideal for a proactive self-starter with a strong sales or acquisitions background who thrives on building trust with landowners and closing deals. The Land Acquisition Specialist will work closely with the company's Analyst and Vice President of Real Estate Development to identify, evaluate, and secure land opportunities aligned with our development strategy. Key Responsibilities Identify and source raw land opportunities, with a focus on agricultural parcels suited for residential development. Proactively engage landowners directly in target markets to gauge interest in selling Present and negotiate Letters of Intent (LOIs) and purchase agreements Manage relationships throughout the acquisition process, including due diligence coordination Build and maintain a strong network of landowners, real estate brokers, and industry contacts Collaborate with internal Analyst and VP of Real Estate Development to align acquisitions with company strategy Conduct market research, including demographic analysis, competitive assessments, and site evaluation Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Insurance Sales, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience is desired. Demonstrated experience in land acquisitions, real estate sales, insurance sales, or a related field involving direct negotiation and deal-closing. Working knowledge of purchase agreements, LOIs, and due diligence processes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trust and rapport with landowners. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines simultaneously. Familiarity with Texas real estate markets desired but not required; experience in the Austin/San Antonio region strongly preferred. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory. Compensation is a base with bonuses on purchase agreements being executed.
