Job Summary Provides specialized research expertise to support residents, fellows, and faculty in the development and execution of research and quality improvement projects that advance the institution's academic mission. Delivers consultation, guidance, and collaborative support across a wide range of research and scholarly activities, ensuring high-quality, timely, and professional assistance throughout phases of project development. Essential Functions All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Supports investigators in designing and developing research and quality improvement protocols, including literature review, collaboration with statisticians, and evaluation of study feasibility. Facilitates the submission, modification, and continuing review of research protocols by preparing required documentation, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements, and coordinating approval processes across committees. Develops and maintains data collection systems, case report forms, and standardized documentation; oversees research process quality; assists with data cleaning, preparation, analysis, and summarization of study findings. Prepares scientific deliverables such as abstracts, manuscripts, and posters; serves as a liaison among researchers, institutional partners, and project teams; provides education and guidance on research processes and project requirements. Supports project maintenance; assists in supervising graduate and undergraduate students, maintaining progress records, and facilitating communication between students and investigators. Performs other assignments as assigned. Supervisory/Management Responsibilities This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive. Minimum Qualifications Education - Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or related field of study Experience - Two (2) years clinical, biomedical or basic research experience or equivalent In Lieu Of NA Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses NA Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Mathematical skills Computer skills including spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, Excel, and other related computer software proficiency. Ability to think creatively and analytically, solve problems, and handle stressful situations. Ability to communicate orally and in writing with all levels within and outside the organization.
