Development Grants Coordinator The Montrose Center - 2.6 Houston, TX Job Details Full-time 14 hours ago Qualifications Research Driver's License Full Job Description Position Summary The Development Grants Coordinator is responsible for managing the organization's private grants from philanthropic foundations and corporations. This officer will oversee all private grants for the Development team, including managing the annual grants calendar, researching grant prospects, writing and submitting proposals, preparing supportive documentation, testimonials and reports, and overseeing philanthropy strategies to support the Montrose Center's mission. This role works closely with program staff and finance team to ensure accurate budgets, timely submissions and strong donor engagement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Research, write, prepare and submit all exploratory foundation and corporate grants for the Center. Manage the Development grants calendar for timely submissions and reporting. Identify corporate and foundation grant prospects under the strategy of the Chief Development Officer. Collaborate with program staff for accuracy on program descriptions, reporting, key performance metrics and grant deadlines. Prepare grant budgets with approval from leadership and finance to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. Represent the Montrose Center as support staff for fundraising or stewardship events, and community networking events as needed. Perform other duties as required - to support the effective operation of the department and organization. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree required in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Administration, Public Health or relevant field. Three years of professional experience in fundraising, grants or technical writing preferred. Access to reliable transportation, a current Texas Driver's License, and auto insurance required. Salesforce or donor database CRM experience preferred. Exceptional written and oral communication skills are mandatory. An ability to work under short deadlines and multi-task is essential.
