Position Summary:
First Liberty Institute's Development Officer fosters relationships with donors and prospects to grow revenue by aligning their passions with the organization's mission of protecting religious freedom for all Americans. The Development Officer is an experienced development professional and effective communicator, with strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Excels in both cultivating relationships and growing revenue. The target start date for this position is November 2026 .
Responsibilities:
Maintain and strengthen authentic, lasting relationships with donors and prospects Develop, implement, and adapt individualized supporter strategies and modify as circumstances change Secure major gifts, multi-year pledges, and estate commitments to meet near, mid and long-term fundraising goals Contribute to existing culture of collaboration and cohesiveness Continually grow the donor pipeline with new major donor prospects Reflect organizational core values both professionally and personally Accurately report activity and results and keep actions updated in Raisers Edge Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must be a professing Christian, agree with and sign First Liberty's Articles of Faith Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or related fieldOR 7+ years of experience in customer service, sales, or related field Passion for First Liberty's mission Personal and professional integrity Strong interpersonal skills High standards of professionalism True personal humility paired with a strong sense of self confidence Self-starter, capable of working both autonomously and collaboratively with a hunger for personal and organizational growth Ability to travel as needed Proficiency in or ability to learn Microsoft applications on an Apple operating system and a CRM database
Physical Requirements:
Intermittent periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Occasional walking, standing, stooping, reaching with hands and arms Lift up to 20 lbs. without assistance
