Job Description
General Manager SafeLogic Alaska | Anchorage $135,000 + Performance-Based Bonus | Full-Time, In-Person Lead the Team. Run the Operations. Help Us Grow. SafeLogic Alaska is looking for an experienced General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our growing safety consulting, staffing, and training firm. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to manage people, create accountability, improve processes, and make sound business decisions independently. We're looking for an experienced operator who can bring structure and consistency to a growing organization while maintaining a positive, engaging workplace. What You'll Do Lead and develop a team of approximately 20-30 employees Oversee day-to-day operations, staffing, scheduling, and workflow Set clear expectations and hold employees accountable Coach employees, conduct performance reviews, and address performance concerns Improve processes, SOPs, and operational systems Oversee AP/AR, collections, payroll coordination, budgeting, and job costing Monitor project delivery, utilization, and operational performance Support client relationships, proposals, and new business opportunities Manage hiring and onboarding as the company grows Make confident day-to-day decisions and resolve issues without constant direction What We're Looking For 10+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in senior management or operational leadership Experience managing a business, branch, department, or practice Experience with a $2M+ operating budget or comparable P&L responsibility Proven people-management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and difficult conversations Experience building and improving systems and processes Strong financial and business acumen Confident, emotionally intelligent, self-directed leadership style Strong technology skills, including Microsoft Office and business management systems Safety, compliance, environmental, construction, or consulting experience is preferred Alaska business experience is a plus The formal role calls for someone who has already held meaningful operational responsibility and has experience building systems—not simply maintaining established ones.
