This role is ideal for someone who is outgoing, disciplined, consistent, and comfortable managing both people and processes in a fast-paced fitness environment. The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager and Owner to ensure the gym runs smoothly, staff members are supported, members receive great service, and company policies are followed. Key Responsibilities Enforce gym rules, policies, and standards consistently and professionally Support, manage, and hold staff accountable during daily operations Provide gym tours to prospective members and create a welcoming first impression Assist with point-of-sale transactions, membership sign-ups, renewals, and account questions Help drive membership sales and support member retention Deliver a high-quality customer experience for all members and guests Communicate regularly with the General Manager and Owner regarding operations, issues, and opportunities Monitor gym cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation Manage stocking, supplies, and inventory needs Help resolve member concerns in a professional and solutions-focused manner Maintain a timely, consistent, and reliable presence at the gym Lead by example with professionalism, honesty, and strong work ethic Ideal Candidate The right candidate is someone who is: Timely and reliable Consistent and disciplined Outgoing and comfortable speaking with members and guests Honest, trustworthy, and professional Confident enforcing rules and holding others accountable Organized and detail-oriented Able to multitask in a busy gym environment Positive, team-oriented, and customer-focused Qualifications Previous gym, fitness, sales, customer service, or management experience preferred Strong communication and leadership skills Comfortable using point-of-sale systems and handling membership transactions Ability to manage staff and support daily business operations Must be dependable, professional, and able to work scheduled shifts consistently About the Role This position plays an important leadership role at Maximum Fitness.
