Job Description
Lead the Team. Grow the Business. Make an Impact. Ability Plumbing is seeking an experienced, results-driven General Manager to lead our growing residential plumbing company. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, developing leaders, driving financial performance, and creating an exceptional customer and employee experience. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with a strong background in the home service industry who understands how to balance people, performance, and profitability. What You'll Do Provide overall leadership for all company operations. Analyze financial reports, budgets, labor costs, and operational metrics to make informed business decisions. Improve operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Lead and develop future department managers, supervisors, and team leaders. Drive revenue growth while maintaining healthy profit margins. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across all departments. Ensure an exceptional customer experience from first call through completed service. Build a culture of accountability, ownership, communication, and continuous improvement. Coach through performance management, hiring, onboarding, and employee development. Partner with ownership to execute strategic initiatives and achieve company goals. Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and California employment regulations. Qualifications Minimum 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience , preferably within residential plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or home services. Demonstrated success leading multiple departments and developing leadership teams. Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&L statements, and operational metrics. Proven ability to build culture while holding teams accountable for results. Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills. Experience with ServiceTitan or similar field service management software preferred. Ability to make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment. High level of integrity, professionalism, and emotional intelligence. Success in This Role Within your first year you will: Improve operational efficiency and departmental accountability.
