General Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

The General Manager (GM) is responsible for planning and overseeing all aspects of the club operation in order to create satisfied members participating at the club and referring new members. Provide the best recreational, fitness and social programs and environments that encourage people to have fun and enjoy their healthier lifestyles.

To maintain the quality and cleanliness of Spare Time Sports Clubs in a way that exemplifies our club-resort culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruit and hire department heads. Orient and assign tasks to department heads. Manage department heads (coach, counsel, discipline). Provide guidance to club Maintenance Director to achieve quality facility maintenance and housekeeping. Annual business plan development including annual operating budget, capital expenditure and major repair planning and budgeting, competitive analysis, marketing plan and PRD's for self and key department heads. Interpret and instill corporate club philosophy. Provide guidance to club directors for budget compliance. Provide corporate and club policy interpretation and implementation at the club. Administer and analyze club statistics, compliance and records. Safeguard the organization by use of legal requirements, government requirements and insurance of risk management. Coordinate department goals and targets. Promote club to the community. Working knowledge of all club duties. All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Knowledge Word, Excel, Power Point proficiency preferred. Experience with online applications including Payroll, Invoicing and Accounting. Experience in Budgeting Experienced in reading and understanding financial documents, P/L, Balance Sheets. Work Experience0 Minimum 4 years in a managerial capacity for a high-end athletic club or hospitality company, preferred. Minimum 4 years leading a team and multiple departments Proven success in delivering financial goals. Top 6 Characteristics Excellent customer service and people skills. Strong leadership skills. Excellent team building skills

• Excellent attention to detail. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Effective time management skills. Education First Aid/ CPR within 60 days of employment

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Occasional bending, kneeling, and lifting of weights up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing and balancing when at club properties. Work on club properties may be performed near moving, mechanical parts. The noise level is usually moderate to high at club properties.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Total Compensation:

Annual base salary + performance bonus potential up to $110,000. Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, 401(k), and PTO.
