General Manager / Lead Estimator Full-Time

• Lake Forest, CA $70,000 base salary plus gross profit share and DRP incentives

POSITION SUMMARY

Crash Lab is seeking a General Manager / Lead Estimator to lead our collision repair operation in Lake Forest. This is a hands-on leadership position. The successful candidate will carry an active estimating desk while directing production, developing insurance partnerships, and building the team. This role is best suited to an experienced collision professional who wants direct ownership of an operation rather than a layer of corporate oversight. You will make the decisions, and you will share the results.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, full time, plus Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Estimating Prepare accurate, well documented estimates and supplements in CCC ONE and Mitchell Blueprint repairs at intake to identify damage before production begins Negotiate labor rates, blend time, and not included operations with carrier representatives Ensure OEM repair procedures are researched, followed, and documented on every file Production Management Lead daily release and production meetings Manage work in process and key to key cycle time against established targets Coordinate workload across body, paint, mechanical, and sublet operations Oversee parts ordering and mirror matching to minimize delays and rework Maintain quality control and delivery standards Business Development Identify, pursue, and secure Direct Repair Program agreements with insurance carriers Manage carrier scorecard performance including cycle time, CSI, severity, and supplement ratio Develop and maintain relationships with adjusters, dealerships, fleet accounts, and referral partners Leadership and Reporting Recruit, train, and develop technicians and support staff Administer shop safety programs and maintain regulatory compliance Track and report key performance indicators including gross profit by category, cycle time, CSI, and technician efficiency Review of monthly financial performance with ownership and act on the findings

COMPENSATION

Compensation consists of a base salary of $70,000 plus a monthly share of shop gross profit and a per program incentive for each Direct Repair Program secured. The gross profit component is structured so that total earnings increase directly with the growth of the business: Monthly Sales Milestone Estimated Annual Earnings Tier 1 $105,000 Tier 2 $117,000 Tier 3 $124,000 Tier 4 $137,000 Specific milestone figures, current shop performance, and the full pay plan will be reviewed with qualified candidates during the interview process. An additional incentive of $2,500 is paid for each Direct Repair Program secured, payable in two installments: one half upon execution of the agreement and one half after six months of maintained good standing. As monthly volume grows, an additional estimator will be added, and this position will transition toward a full general management scope. The compensation structure is designed to reward that growth.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Two or more years managing or co-managing a DRP driven collision repair facility Proficiency in both CCC ONE and Mitchell at a daily production level Demonstrated success in securing or maintaining Direct Repair Program relationships Strong estimating background with working knowledge of OEM repair procedures Ability to read and manage to a profit and loss statement Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record Preferred I-CAR Platinum and / or ASE certification Bilingual, English and Spanish
