Job Summary
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all airport station operations, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of flights, customer service, and ground services. This role includes managing station personnel, coordinating with various departments, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and optimizing operational performance. The General Manager will work closely with leadership to meet budgetary goals, improve operational efficiency, and provide exceptional service to passengers. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage a diverse team in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities
Oversee all station operations, ensuring smooth daily activities.
Manage station personnel, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Coordinate with internal departments for seamless service delivery.
Ensure compliance with FAA, local regulations, and safety protocols.
Develop and manage station budgets and operational plans.
Monitor KPIs to track performance and implement improvements.
Resolve customer complaints and operational issues promptly.
Ensure appropriate staffing during peak times.
Maintain relationships with airline partners, airport authorities, and stakeholders.
Manage inventory, equipment, and supplies for operations.
Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and procedures.
Prepare and submit performance and compliance reports.
Recommend and manage capital expenditures for new equipment.
Ensure compliance with TSA and site-specific security plans.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers for equipment and materials.
Administer practices fairly, ensuring respect and professionalism for all.
Oversee requisitions for equipment and supplies within budget.
Minimum Requirements
5 years of previous experience in airport operations, ground services, or a related field with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree preferred.
Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate complex operations.
Solid understanding of FAA regulations and airport safety protocols.
Experience with budgeting and operational planning.
Valid driver's license; airport security badge or the ability to obtain one.
Ability to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Skills
Experience managing airport or airline ground operations teams.
Strong ability to negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
Strong experience with cost control, capital expenditure recommendations, and financial reporting.
Focus on excellent service and complaint resolution.
Additional safety or airline-related certifications
Ability to speak additional languages is a plus for passenger service coordination. - for station with international clients.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Remain in a stationary position 50 of the time.
Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Comfortable working in outdoor environments with exposure to varying weather conditions.
Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and reach as needed for inspections and operational oversight.
Work in a high-noise environment, requiring proper hearing protection.
