General Manager - Import Automotive Dealership Solano County, California We are seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead a high-performing import dealership in Solano County. Our organization has built a reputation for operational excellence, strong market performance, and a customer-first culture. We are now looking for a proven leader to build on that success and drive the next phase of growth. The Opportunity This role offers full executive oversight of dealership operations, including Sales, Fixed Operations, and Finance. The General Manager will be empowered to shape strategy, develop leadership talent, and enhance overall performance across all departments. You will partner directly with ownership that is committed to continued investment, operational discipline, and long-term success—providing both the autonomy and support required to excel. Key Responsibilities Lead all aspects of dealership operations with a focus on profitability and sustainable growth Drive performance across variable and fixed operations, ensuring strong absorption and efficiency Develop and mentor department leaders to build a high-performing, accountable culture Maintain and elevate customer satisfaction in alignment with award-winning standards Analyze financial performance and implement strategic initiatives to improve results Strengthen OEM relationships and ensure compliance with manufacturer programs Ideal Candidate Profile Proven success as a General Manager or high-performing GSM within an automotive dealership (import experience preferred) Demonstrated ability to consistently exceed performance benchmarks in both sales and fixed operations Strong financial acumen, with deep understanding of dealership KPIs and profitability drivers Track record of building, developing, and retaining top-tier teams Results-driven leadership style with a high level of accountability and professionalism Performance Expectations Success in this role will be measured by: Overall dealership profitability and net-to-sales performance Market share growth and competitive positioning Fixed operations performance and absorption Customer satisfaction and retention metrics Leadership development and team stability Compensation & Benefits $200,000 - $400,000+ total compensation (base + performance incentives, commensurate with experience) Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) Performance-driven structure with significant upside tied to results Why This Role This is a rare opportunity to lead a dealership with strong momentum, a respected brand, and engaged ownership.
