Job Description
Are you passionate about horticulture and looking for a long-term career with growth opportunities? We are seeking a General Manager Trainee to join our Nursery and Greenhouse operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, career-minded individual who is ready to learn every aspect of the business and develop into a leadership role.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Horticulture or a related field required. 4+ years' experience ideally focused on one or more areas: Production Management, Greenhouse Operations, Nursery Supervisor or Management, or Nursery Sales Career-minded with a strong desire to grow into a General Manager position. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn all aspects of nursery operations. Willing to work in both indoor and outdoor environments. Some outdoor locations are subject to extreme hot and cold temperatures, and wet or humid conditions. Must be willing to travel and relocate for training and future General Management opportunities. Must currently reside in the U.S. and have a valid U.S. driver's license.Key Responsibilities:
Train in all areas of nursery and greenhouse operations, including production, inventory, customer service, staff supervision, and hiring and developing sales teams Learn best practices in plant health, irrigation, fertilization, pest management, and quality control. Assist with scheduling, team leadership, and operational planning. Develop the skills necessary to manage a successful nursery location.What We Offer:
