Open Availability Job Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the store, including meeting expected sales targets, day-to-day operations of the store along with other key performance indicators. The General Manager is responsible for managing and developing a team of hourly employees. Working with the District Manager, the General Manager develops and implements store strategies and tactics that achieve sales, service, and operational performance goals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages all recreational and medical cannabis sales operations and personnel within their retail location(s). Coaches and motivates the store team in alignment with retail objectives, key results and initiatives. Manages store opening and closing procedures. Builds and increases customer retention, fosters customer relationships, and develops brand awareness and loyalty within the stores managed. Utilizes company tools to train sales processes and hold team accountable to expected levels of customer service. Escalation point for customer communication and guidance including resolving customer complaints. Performs daily cash verifications and recordings. Manages store delivery, transfers, and inventory management processes. Manages store inventory with guidance and input from supply chain team to ensure store is appropriately stocked. Manages workforce and performance management efforts including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, mentoring, and evaluating employee performance. Ensures that processes and procedures are compliant to internal policies and standards as well as local and state regulations. Ensures compliant processes related to inventory reporting, employee reporting, patient reporting, and packaging. Manages to the store budget and reports performance to budget. Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the store including organizing products and inventory, sweeping, mopping, and dusting. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
6 years of customer service and/or sales experience. 2 years management or supervisory experience. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Must hold or obtain a valid Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) Employee Badge. Excellent verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using retail POS and loyalty systems. Proficiency using Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office programs including Gmail, Calendar Docs, Sheets, Word, and Excel. Knowledge of METRC. Knowledge of local and state laws related to cannabis sales including Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of customer service and/or sales experience. Experience with Cannabis POS system. Cannabis knowledge or cannabis industry experience. Proficiency using Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office programs including Gmail, Calendar Docs, Sheets, Word, and Excel. Knowledge of local and state laws related to cannabis sales including Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) regulations.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs. Ability to sit, stand, stoop, stretch, walk, bend, twist, reach, perform repetitive motions, and carry boxes or items.
Other Requirements:
In-person at store location based on schedule.
