Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Position Overview Hotel is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and service-focused Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our leadership team. The Assistant General Manager is a key member of the hotel's management team and will work directly with the General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of the property. The AGM will help ensure that all departments operate efficiently, consistently deliver exceptional guest service, meet brand and company standards, and achieve established financial and operational objectives. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership position. The successful candidate will be comfortable working alongside employees at all levels, interacting with guests, analyzing hotel performance, resolving operational challenges, and taking ownership of results. The ideal candidate is an energetic hospitality professional who understands that successful hotel operations require strong leadership, attention to detail, financial discipline, employee engagement, and a genuine commitment to the guest experience. Essential ResponsibilitiesHotel Operations Assist the General Manager in the overall management and operation of the hotel. Provide daily leadership and direction to hotel department heads and operational teams. Ensure all departments are properly staffed and operating efficiently. Conduct daily operational reviews and communicate priorities to the management team. Serve as Manager on Duty as assigned. Ensure smooth communication between departments, shifts, and management. Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions. Maintain a strong management presence throughout the property. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and facilities. Ensure the hotel consistently meets company, brand, and operational standards. Assist with implementation of policies, procedures, and operational initiatives. Support the General Manager during inspections, audits, owner visits, and corporate reviews. Guest Experience Maintain a strong focus on guest satisfaction and service excellence. Personally interact with guests and establish a welcoming and professional environment. Respond promptly and appropriately to guest complaints and service recovery opportunities. Empower team members to resolve guest concerns whenever appropriate. Monitor guest feedback, online reviews, surveys, and satisfaction scores. Identify recurring guest-service issues and develop corrective action plans. Recognize repeat guests, VIPs, groups, and special occasions. Ensure guest requests are communicated and followed through across departments. Promote a culture in which every employee understands the importance of hospitality and guest satisfaction. Leadership & Team Development Lead by example and promote a positive, professional, and accountable work environment. Coach, mentor, and develop department managers and supervisors. Provide ongoing feedback to employees and managers. Assist with performance reviews and employee development plans. Support recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training. Ensure new employees receive appropriate orientation
