Overview:

A publicly-traded real estate company is seeking a Director of Business Applications & Digital Transformation to lead the modernization of its business systems, data environment, and enterprise application strategy. This is a newly created, high-visibility role reporting directly to executive leadership. The successful candidate will assess the current technology ecosystem, develop a long-term systems roadmap, improve data governance, streamline operations, and drive enterprise-wide adoption of scalable technology solutions. The organization has grown significantly over the years and utilizes multiple business applications across finance, accounting, operations, construction, and asset management. Leadership is committed to investing in technology and is looking for a hands-on leader who can evaluate the current environment, identify opportunities for improvement, and execute transformational initiatives. Responsibilities Assess existing business applications, workflows, integrations, and data architecture. Develop and execute a multi-year digital transformation roadmap. Partner with Finance, Accounting, Construction, Asset Management, and Operations leadership to improve business processes. Establish data governance standards and improve data quality across platforms. Identify system gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation. Evaluate, select, and implement new software solutions and technology partners. Lead application implementations, upgrades, migrations, and integrations. Build executive business cases and secure stakeholder alignment for technology initiatives. Serve as the subject matter expert for enterprise business systems. Collaborate closely with IT leadership while maintaining a business-focused perspective. Create reporting and analytics strategies that improve decision-making. Help establish the foundation for a future business systems team.

Required Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in business systems, enterprise applications, digital transformation, or business technology leadership. Experience working with portfolio management-related tools. Proven experience implementing and optimizing enterprise software platforms. Strong understanding of data management, system integrations, reporting, and process improvement. Hands-on experience leading end-to-end technology initiatives. Ability to work effectively with executive stakeholders.

Preferred:

Experience within real estate, REITs, hospitality, property management, asset management, or similar portfolio-driven industries. Experience with publicly-traded companies.
