The successful candidate will be a hands-on business leader who understands the products, knows how to work with customers and suppliers, and is comfortable moving between sales, purchasing, inventory, and operations. We are looking for someone who recognizes that great customer service is a competitive advantage. This individual will take ownership of customer needs, understand our products and inventory, follow through on orders, solve problems, work closely with suppliers, and identify opportunities to grow the business. Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations and overall performance of the business. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, manufacturers, suppliers, dealers, and contractors. Handle sales activities, including customer inquiries, quotes, orders, pricing, and follow-up. Manage purchasing, inventory levels, product availability, and supplier relationships. Coordinate orders and deliveries and proactively address customer needs or issues. Maintain a strong understanding of products, inventory, pricing, and customer demand. Identify new sales opportunities and ways to strengthen and grow existing customer relationships. Supervise the company's delivery driver and coordinate daily delivery schedules and priorities. Monitor sales, margins, expenses, and overall business performance. Work closely with ownership on business priorities and opportunities for growth. Qualifications Experience in masonry supplies, building materials, construction products, wholesale distribution, or a related industry required. Knowledge of masonry products, including brick, thin brick, pavers, flue products, fire brick, and related materials preferred. Experience in sales, purchasing, inventory, operations, or general business management. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with customers, manufacturers, suppliers, and purchasing personnel. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and effectively use inventory, order entry, accounting, and other business software. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with demonstrated follow-through and attention to detail. Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a hands-on business environment. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, management, or a related field preferred. Ability to lift and move materials weighing over 50 pounds. Ability to assist with handling, organizing, and inspecting inventory as needed. Benefits include medical and dental insurance, earned time off, and paid holidays.
