We are looking for an energetic, organized, and people-focused Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help lead the daily operations of our Fort Myers center. The Assistant General Manager works closely with the General Manager and leadership team to create an exceptional experience for our members, develop and support our coaching team, drive membership growth and retention, and ensure the center operates efficiently every day. This is a hands-on leadership position. Responsibilities include:
Manage daily administrative responsibilities including membership management, billing, scheduling, customer service inquiries, and KPI reporting. Maintain accurate membership and class scheduling systems to ensure a seamless member experience. Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with KidStrong families. Serve as a point of escalation for member questions, concerns, and service recovery. Support membership retention by proactively identifying concerns and creating solutions for families. Partner with the Sales & Marketing Manager to support observations, trials, enrollments, and the overall new-member experience. Support membership growth initiatives and help achieve center performance goals. Assist with inventory, retail, supplies, and facility organization. Maintain high standards for center cleanliness, safety, organization, and brand presentation. Identify facility and maintenance needs and help coordinate projects through completion. Help plan, organize, promote, and execute KidStrong Camps, Parents Night Out events, Open Houses, field trips, and other special programming. Identify and participate in community events and partnership opportunities that increase local brand awareness. Assist the General Manager with scheduling, staffing, and other operational needs. Team Leadership & Development Our coaches are one of the most important parts of the KidStrong experience. The Assistant General Manager plays an active role in developing and supporting the team.
You will:
Help recruit, onboard, train, develop, and retain high-quality team members. Support the General Manager in evaluating coach performance and providing ongoing feedback. Help maintain appropriate staffing and coverage for classes, camps, events, and center operations. Lead by example and reinforce KidStrong's standards, values, and expectations. Help facilitate team meetings, training sessions, and center initiatives. Recognize team successes while identifying opportunities for continued development. Promote a positive, accountable, collaborative, and professional team culture. Communicate effectively with team members through Slack and other internal systems. Complete KidStrong Leadership Certification and required ongoing training. Coaching The Assistant General Manager is also expected to remain connected to the KidStrong program by coaching approximately 3-5 hours per week , with additional coaching as needed for coverage.
Coaching responsibilities include:
Deliver KidStrong's evolving curriculum focused on physical, cognitive, and character development. Coach children ranging from infants participating in parent-assisted programming through approximately 11 years old. Create positive, engaging interactions with children and families before, during, and after class. Maintain an energetic, encouraging, professional, and safe class environment. Understand the purpose behind the KidStrong curriculum and clearly communicate its benefits to parents and guardians. Demonstrate and implement curriculum and programming according to KidStrong standards. Track attendance, awards, milestones, and other required information using KidStrong systems. Ensure classes begin and end on schedule while maintaining the appropriate curriculum pace. Complete KidStrong Coach Certification and required ongoing training. What We're Looking For Required Genuine passion for working with children and families Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Excellent organization and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Confidence communicating with parents and guardians, including handling difficult conversations professionally Strong customer-service mindset Comfortable using technology and learning new systems Experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification High school diploma or equivalent At least 2 years of experience working with children Availability to work a full-time schedule that includes 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day Preferred Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese Experience in youth programming, education, fitness, recreation, hospitality, customer service, or membership-based businesses Experience with sales, membership growth, or customer retention Experience recruiting, training, or developing employees Experience coordinating events, camps, or community partnerships Familiarity with platforms such as HubSpot, Slack, GlowFox, and Podium. Bachelor's degree or relevant professional experience Pediatric OT/PT, education, coaching, or child-development experience is a plus but not required Physical Requirements KidStrong is an active environment.

The Assistant General Manager typically works 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day , with hours based on center programming and operational needs.
