Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests. Leads all aspects of employee performance to ensure productivity and a quality work environment. Establishes, maintains, and trains standards and procedures for cleaning and safe working conditions in all departments. Responsibilities The Assistant General Manager is responsible for assisting the General Manager in maintaining proper controls for all hotel operations in accordance with company policies / procedures and franchise standards. High school graduate or equivalent; college degree in hospitality management or business preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Knowledge of budget preparation and cost controls. Working knowledge of all hotel departments. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to apply good judgment to carry out instructions. Knowledgeable of the property management system. Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.
