Job Description

About the
Role:
We're looking for a first-year attorney to join our Executive Office in a dual capacity — part legal apprentice, part Chief of Staff to the CEO. You'll travel extensively with our CEO, work side-by-side with senior in-house counsel, and get hands-on exposure to the legal, strategic, and operational issues that shape the company at the highest level — with a particular focus on real estate transactions and matters. This is a rare opportunity to compress years of traditional legal training into a fast-paced, real-world learning environment while also running point on the CEO's priorities, schedule, and cross-functional initiatives. This role suits someone who wants breadth before specialization: reviewing a lease or purchase agreement one day, board materials the next, a strategy memo after that, and a front-row seat to how business decisions actually get made. What You'll Do Travel with the CEO to meetings, board sessions, property visits, and external engagements, providing real-time legal and business support Shadow and work directly under senior counsel to learn contract drafting, negotiation, and risk analysis in practice Support real estate transactions end-to-end: due diligence, title and survey review, purchase and sale agreements, leases, and closings Review, draft, and redline commercial agreements (NDAs, vendor contracts, partnership agreements, real estate contracts) under attorney supervision Conduct legal research and prepare summaries/memos on corporate, commercial, real estate, and regulatory questions Assist with corporate governance matters — board resolutions, entity maintenance, filings Help prepare briefing materials, talking points, and presentations for executive meetings Liaise with outside counsel and cross-functional teams (finance, operations, sales) on legal matters affecting the business Serve as Chief of Staff to the
CEO:
manage priorities, drive follow-through on action items, and keep cross-functional initiatives on track Own scheduling, meeting prep, and communication flow around the CEO's calendar, filtering and triaging what needs the CEO's direct attention Coordinate logistics for travel, board meetings, and external engagements Act as a trusted liaison between the CEO and other executives, department heads, and outside parties Take on special projects assigned directly by the CEO or General Counsel Who You Are J.D. from an accredited law school (Class of 2025 or 2026); bar admission in Florida required or in progress Undergraduate degree or prior professional experience in business, finance, or a related field Interest or coursework/experience in real estate law a plus (transactions, leasing, land use, or title work) Strong academic performance; law review, moot court, or clinical experience a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills — comfortable drafting for executives and explaining legal concepts to non-lawyers High discretion and judgment; comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information Entrepreneurial mindset — thrives with ambiguity, competing priorities, and a fast pace Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including on short notice What Sets This Role Apart Direct, daily mentorship from senior in-house counsel and unmatched proximity to a sitting CEO's decision-making process Hands-on experience in real estate transactions alongside broad exposure across corporate, commercial, and regulatory practice areas Real operating and management experience running point on executive priorities — rare for a first-year attorney A clear growth path toward a senior in-house counsel or VP-level operating role as the company scales
