As the Club enters its next chapter, Grand Haven seeks a dynamic and accomplished General Manager to build upon its proud heritage and lead the organization into the future. Grand Haven Golf Club is owned and operated by Escalante Golf, a privately held, for-profit golf company with a portfolio of 27 world-class clubs across 18 states. The Opportunity The General Manager serves as the Club's Chief Operating Officer and strategic leader, responsible for the overall success of Grand Haven Golf Club. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, the General Manager will provide leadership across all aspects of club operations, including member experience, financial performance, team development, facilities, and long-term strategic planning. This is a highly visible and influential leadership position. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable developing strategic initiatives, leading a talented management team, engaging with members, and being present throughout the Club and community. Experience Required Strategic Leadership Priorities The next General Manager will: Champion a culture of hospitality, accountability, and excellence that defines every member and guest interaction. Partner with Escalante Golf leadership to execute long-term strategic initiatives and capital improvement plans. Strengthen financial stewardship, operational efficiency, and business performance across all departments. Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing leadership team aligned around a common vision and shared values. Enhance membership value through thoughtful programming, communication, engagement, and exceptional service. Foster strong relationships with members, staff, and community stakeholders. Preserve and elevate the Club's physical assets, golf course, amenities, and overall presentation. Lead with visibility, authenticity, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Essential Responsibilities The Ideal Candidate Grand Haven Golf Club seeks an accomplished private club executive who is: A relationship-driven leader with exceptional emotional intelligence and interpersonal presence. Strategically minded with strong business, financial, and operational acumen. Experienced in leading complex, multi-faceted private club operations. A collaborative leader who effectively partners with department heads and develops organizational talent. Visible, approachable, and engaged with members, staff, and the broader community. Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable experiences. Comfortable leading through change while maintaining a strong culture and sense of community. Committed to developing people and creating an environment where teams thrive. A Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation or PGA of America membership is preferred, along with significant experience leading a private golf or country club. You will receive a cell phone allowance per month.
