MOBILITY PLUS GENERAL MANAGER - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & OPERATIONS

Regular GM Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Occasional Saturdays 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Store Hours:
Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.; Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Starting Base Salary:
$42,000 annually ($3,500 per month)
Schedule & Coverage:
The General Manager is responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing and store coverage through closing. When qualified closing coverage is unavailable, the General Manager may need to adjust their schedule. Occasional networking events, health fairs, training, customer appointments, and community outreach may be required based on business needs.
Compensation:
The position may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation as the company achieves established financial and operational goals. Incentive compensation may consider individual performance, company financial performance, profitability, sales growth, operational results, and other objectives established by the Owner. Performance incentives are not guaranteed.

We are seeking a motivated, hands-on General Manager who can lead our day-to-day operation while developing and executing strategies that strengthen sales, customer service, operational efficiency, referral relationships, employee performance, and financial results. Position Summary:
The General Manager serves as the primary day-to-day operational leader of Mobility Plus Lithia Springs and reports directly to the Owner.
The position has responsibility for:
Daily store operations Sales and revenue growth Business development and referral relationships Customer service Employee leadership and accountability Technician and service operations Employee scheduling and timekeeping Inventory and purchasing Expense management Financial and operational performance Marketing and community outreach Operational strategy Store opening and closing coverage Compliance and safety: A major priority of this position is helping build a stronger and more sustainable operation through profitable revenue growth, responsible expense management, operational efficiency, outstanding customer service, and development of long-term referral relationships. Business Leadership & Operational Strategy Lead the successful day-to-day operation of the store. Develop and implement operational strategies that improve business performance. Translate the Owner's vision and company goals into measurable priorities. Establish daily, weekly, monthly, and long-term operational goals. Identify problems, inefficiencies, and opportunities proactively. Bring recommended solutions - not simply problems - to the Owner. Follow through on responsibilities without repeated reminders. Improve workflow, productivity, customer service, and financial performance. Use company resources responsibly and protect company assets, confidential information, customer relationships, and reputation. Maintain a clean, organized, professional, safe, and customer-ready environment. Help develop systems and processes that support sustainable long-term growth.
Business-Minded Leadership:
Treat company resources responsibly and take accountability for results. Understand the relationship between sales, expenses, gross profit, and profitability. Identify opportunities for improvement and make thoughtful decisions with the long-term health of the business in mind. Understand when to make a decision independently and when Owner involvement is appropriate.
Opening, Closing & Daily Readiness:
Arrive on time and prepared to begin management responsibilities at 9:30 a.m. Use pre-opening time to review appointments, technician schedules, service calls, installations, deliveries, staffing, customer concerns, leads, and daily priorities. Ensure employees understand their responsibilities and customer areas are ready before opening. Ensure appropriate staffing through the store's 6:00 p.m. closing time. Ensure employees assigned to closing responsibilities follow established procedures. Adjust management coverage when legitimate operational needs require it. The General Manager is responsible for proper store coverage but is not required to personally close every business day when qualified employee coverage is available.
Sales & Revenue Growth:
Take an active leadership role in growing sales and work with the Owner to establish realistic performance goals. Monitor leads, estimates, pending sales, and customer follow-up. Ensure sales opportunities receive timely and consistent follow-through. Conduct customer consultations and product demonstrations when needed. Coach employees on product knowledge, customer service, sales techniques, and follow-up. Identify opportunities to improve lead conversion, repeat business, referrals, and customer retention. Develop practical strategies for generating additional revenue. Understand that profitable, sustainable growth - not revenue alone - is the objective.
Business Development & Referral Relationships:
Develop new referral relationships throughout West Georgia and strengthen existing relationships. Build relationships with hospitals, physicians, rehabilitation facilities, senior communities, home health agencies, case managers, veterans' organizations, senior centers, healthcare professionals, and community organizations. Conduct consistent outreach to prospective referral partners. Represent Mobility Plus professionally at networking events, health fairs, community programs, and business organizations. Identify strategic partnerships capable of producing sustainable business. Maintain appropriate records of outreach, follow-up, referrals, and results. Evaluate business-development activities based on effectiveness and potential return.
Employee Leadership & Accountability:
Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision to employees. Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, coaching, and employee development. Develop employee schedules based on customer and operational needs. Clearly communicate responsibilities and performance expectations. Hold employees accountable while treating them professionally and respectfully. Provide regular coaching and feedback and recognize strong performance. Address attendance, conduct, performance, and accountability concerns promptly and professionally. Promote teamwork and respectful workplace communication. Ensure employees comply with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Develop employees so they can assume greater responsibility over time.
Technician & Service Operations:
Schedule technicians efficiently based on customer needs, workload, geography, and priorities. Coordinate service calls, installations, deliveries, repairs, rentals, assessments, and pickups. Ensure technicians have complete and accurate information before assignments. Monitor technician productivity, workmanship, professionalism, and customer service. Ensure technicians arrive at scheduled customer appointments on time. Monitor open service orders through completion. Address delays, repeat visits, quality concerns, and customer complaints. Ensure company vehicles, tools, equipment, and service inventory are properly maintained. Ensure manufacturer and safety requirements are followed. Coach technicians and address performance concerns when necessary.
Technician Attendance & Timekeeping:
Ensure technicians report to work on time and prepared for duty. Ensure technicians clock in accurately at the beginning of work and clock out accurately at the end of work. Ensure required meal periods and other timekeeping are properly recorded. Ensure technicians follow assigned schedules and communicate absences, delays, or emergencies promptly. Ensure authorization is obtained for overtime or schedule changes. Ensure no unauthorized off-the-clock work is performed. Review employee time records and ensure discrepancies are appropriately addressed before payroll processing.
Customer Experience:
Maintain a customer-first culture and ensure customers are treated with dignity, patience, compassion, respect, and professionalism. Respond promptly to customer concerns and escalations. Resolve complaints professionally within delegated authority. Ensure customers receive accurate information regarding products, pricing, rentals, deliveries, repairs, installations, and company policies. Improve customer follow-up, build long-term customer relationships, and protect the reputation of Mobility Plus Lithia Springs.
Inventory & Facility Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor inventory levels and product needs. Make responsible purchasing recommendations based on customer demand and business needs. Reduce unnecessary inventory, waste, loss, and damage. Maintain an organized showroom and warehouse and ensure merchandise is appropriately displayed and priced. Monitor equipment received, rented, sold, repaired, transferred, and returned. Maintain accountability for company tools and equipment. Ensure the facility remains clean, safe, professional, organized, and customer-ready. Financial & Profitability Management Monitor revenue, gross profit, expenses, and key performance indicators. Work with the Owner to establish realistic financial and operational goals. Control unnecessary expenses and manage inventory responsibly. Consider profitability when making operational recommendations. Reduce waste and unnecessary spending and identify opportunities to improve gross profit. Recommend cost-saving measures that do not compromise customer service, quality, or safety. Evaluate marketing and business-development spending for effectiveness. Identify financial and operational concerns early. Help move the business toward sustainable and profitable operations.
Communication With Ownership:
Independently manage routine daily operations while maintaining transparent and timely communication with the Owner. Provide regular updates regarding business performance. Communicate significant employee matters and serious customer concerns or potential liability issues promptly. Identify financial and operational concerns early. Present recommended solutions when identifying problems. Obtain Owner approval for matters outside delegated authority. Follow through on decisions and responsibilities. Keep the Owner appropriately informed without unnecessarily shifting routine management responsibilities back to the Owner.
Leadership Authority:
The General Manager has authority to make routine day-to-day operational decisions within established company policies, procedures, approved budgets, and delegated authority. The General Manager position does not alter or supersede the Owner's ultimate authority over the company. Major financial commitments, contracts, compensation changes, significant personnel actions, strategic changes, and other matters designated by ownership require Owner approval.

Present the Owner with a practical operational and business-development strategy addressing sales growth, referral development, customer retention, expense management, operational efficiency, service performance, and profitability. Qualifications Required:
Three (3) or more years of management, supervisory, operations, sales leadership, or comparable business leadership experience. Demonstrated experience leading or supervising employees. Strong sales and relationship-building abilities. Excellent customer-service skills. Strong communication and organizational abilities. Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred:
Five (5) or more years of leadership experience. Experience in durable medical equipment (DME), healthcare, medical sales, mobility/accessibility products, home services, retail management, or a related industry. Experience supervising technicians or field-service employees. Experience developing referral relationships. Experience improving the performance of a small or growing business. Direct DME experience is preferred but not required. We welcome accomplished leaders from other industries who demonstrate the leadership, operational discipline, business-development ability, and customer-service mindset necessary to succeed.
Compensation & Professional Development:
Starting Base Salary:
$42,000 annually ($3,500 per month) The company may provide performance-based incentive compensation based on individual performance, company financial performance, profitability, sales growth, operational results, and other objectives established by the Owner. Performance incentives are not guaranteed and may be established, modified, or discontinued based on company performance and business conditions. Formal performance reviews will generally be conducted every six months.
