Full-Time |
Leadership Compensation:
Competitive salary based on experience
Reports To:
Chief Operating Officer Lead People. Strengthen Operations. Drive Growth. Home Instead is seeking an experienced General Manager to provide operational leadership across our three Georgia franchise territories. This is not simply a position responsible for managing the day-to-day. We are looking for a leader who can lead other leaders, create accountability, develop people, solve problems at the root cause, and take ownership of business results. The right person will step into an established organization with a strong leadership structure, clear expectations, and significant opportunity for continued growth. As General Manager, you will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and department leaders to ensure our Georgia operations consistently deliver an exceptional experience for our clients, families, Care Professionals, and employees. You will be expected to understand the business at a high level while also being willing to get close enough to the operation to understand where teams are getting stuck and what needs to change. What You'll Own Leadership & Team Development You will be responsible for creating clarity, accountability, and consistency across the Georgia organization.
You will:
Lead, coach, and develop Georgia department leaders and Key Players. Set clear expectations and hold leaders accountable for results. Develop leaders who can independently own their departments rather than relying on the GM to solve every problem. Build strong communication and collaboration between departments. Address performance concerns directly, professionally, and timely. Recognize strong performance and create opportunities for continued leadership development. Maintain a healthy, professional, solutions-focused culture. Ensure company Core Values are demonstrated through everyday leadership decisions and behaviors. Operational Leadership The General Manager will oversee the overall performance and execution of our three Georgia franchise territories.
Responsibilities include:
Maintain visibility into Client Experience, Care Pro Experience, Scheduling, Recruiting, Business Development, and other operational functions. Ensure departments are working together rather than operating in silos. Monitor operational performance and identify areas requiring attention. Identify processes that are not producing the intended results. Determine whether breakdowns are related to the process itself, execution, training, communication, ownership, or accountability. Work with department leaders to develop practical solutions and ensure changes are implemented. Follow through to determine whether improvements actually solved the problem. Standardize processes and expectations across Georgia operations where appropriate. Partner with the COO to mirror proven processes from our Louisiana operations when doing so creates greater consistency, efficiency, accountability, or performance. Recognize when Georgia-specific regulations or operational needs require a different approach. Maintain strong execution of company initiatives and priorities. Financial & Business Performance The General Manager must understand that strong operations and strong financial performance go hand in hand.
You will:
Take ownership of overall Georgia business performance. Understand revenue goals, labor costs, administrative expenses, profitability, client hours, utilization, retention, and other key operational metrics. Review business performance regularly and identify trends before they become larger problems. Work with department leaders to establish action plans when results are below expectations. Balance investments in people and infrastructure with responsible financial stewardship. Partner with Finance, the COO, and Ownership to understand performance and make informed operational decisions. Support responsible, sustainable growth across all three Georgia franchises. Client & Care Professional Experience Our business depends on our ability to care for both our clients and the Care Professionals who serve them.
The General Manager will:
Maintain high expectations for client service, communication, responsiveness, and quality. Ensure new clients experience an organized and successful start of care. Promote strong Care Professional recruiting, onboarding, engagement, utilization, and retention. Ensure scheduling decisions balance client needs, Care Professional availability, service quality, and business expectations. Help departments resolve recurring issues that negatively impact the client or Care Professional experience. Reinforce a culture where problems are owned, communicated, and resolved rather than passed between departments. Compliance & Risk Management The General Manager will partner with appropriate leaders to maintain strong operational and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities include:
Maintain awareness of Georgia requirements applicable to our operations. Ensure required processes, documentation, and operational standards are consistently followed. Monitor identified compliance concerns and corrective action plans. Create accountability for timely resolution of compliance gaps. Partner with leadership when incidents or concerns require escalation. Protect client confidentiality and ensure appropriate handling of sensitive information. EOS Leadership & Accountability Our organization operates using the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) . The General Manager will be expected to actively participate in and reinforce our EOS operating structure, including: Weekly Level 10 meetings. Scorecards and measurable performance indicators. Rocks and quarterly priorities. Identifying, Discussing, and Solving issues. Clear accountability and ownership. Consistent follow-through on commitments. You do not need to be an EOS expert when you walk through the door, but you must be comfortable operating in a highly accountable environment where expectations, metrics, priorities, and issues are visible and openly discussed. What We're Looking For We are looking for an experienced leader who has demonstrated success managing people, operations, and business performance.
Preferred qualifications include:
5+ years of progressive leadership or operational management experience. Experience leading managers, supervisors, or department leaders. Experience overseeing multiple departments, locations, business units, or territories. Demonstrated ability to improve operational performance and create accountability. Strong understanding of business operations and financial performance. Experience using KPIs, scorecards, or other measurable performance indicators. Strong coaching and people-development skills. Ability to have difficult conversations while maintaining professionalism and respect. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize and make sound decisions in a fast-moving environment. Comfortable identifying problems, determining root causes, and implementing solutions. Experience in home care, senior care, healthcare, staffing, multi-unit operations, or another service-based business is preferred. EOS experience is a plus but not required. The Leader Who Will Thrive Here You may be a strong fit if you: Believe accountability and compassion can coexist. Develop people instead of simply directing them. Are willing to make decisions and own the results. Ask why a problem keeps happening instead of repeatedly fixing the symptom. Can move between strategy and operations without becoming consumed by every day-to-day issue. Use data to guide decisions but understand the people behind the numbers. Communicate openly and address concerns rather than allowing issues to linger. Can bring multiple departments together around one organizational goal. Are energized by growth, change, and building stronger systems. Understand that your success as a General Manager is ultimately reflected in the success of the leaders and teams you develop. What Success Looks Like Success in this role means Georgia has a strong, accountable leadership team that understands what it owns and consistently follows through. Departments communicate and work together. Operational issues are identified and solved at their root cause. Compliance expectations are consistently met. Clients and Care Professionals receive a dependable experience. Leaders understand their numbers and take ownership of results. Most importantly, the General Manager creates an operation that does not depend on the General Manager personally solving every problem. Why Home Instead? Home Instead is built around the belief that aging adults deserve to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. Our leadership team is committed to continued growth while protecting the quality of care and experience we provide to clients, families, and Care Professionals. We are looking for a General Manager who wants more than a title. We want someone who wants to develop people, strengthen an organization, solve meaningful problems, and help build the next stage of our Georgia operations.
