Job Description

Job Summary This is an entry-level position in construction management, with training provided. The role involves supporting field operations on multi-family construction projects, assisting the construction manager with scheduling, coordination, and quality control. The position requires fieldwork, travel, and extended on-site stays, providing valuable hands-on experience in the construction industry. Candidates should be prepared for physical demands such as long days on your feet in various weather conditions, often outdoors for extended periods. The work schedule typically follows a four-day workweek followed by three days off, allowing for a balanced work-life routine. Candidates must be willing to undergo a drug screen and be comfortable working in a team environment. Prior construction experience is necessary; training in multifamily will be provided to develop essential skills for a career in construction management.
Responsibilities:
Assist the construction manager in creating and maintaining project schedules to ensure timely completion. Support field activities, including site inspections and quality assurance. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to facilitate smooth operations. Participate in safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Travel as needed for project sites, including extended stays on-site. Perform drug screening as part of the onboarding process. Help troubleshoot issues that arise during construction and communicate effectively with team members.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; some background in construction. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and handle physical fieldwork, including long days on your feet, stairs. Willingness to travel and work extended periods on-site. Team player with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks. Reliable, responsible, and eager to learn about construction management.
Pay:
From $40,000.00 per year
