Job Description
General Manager/ Warehouse Manager Duties:
- Oversee and manage all warehouse operations, including receiving, dispatching, equipment management, order fulfillment, and inventory control.
- Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space and resources to maximize productivity.
- Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Coordinate with our Office Staff to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover.
- Supervise warehouse staff/ Delivery crew, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Reconciling and vetting employee time logs.
- Create delivery routing schedules using our industry specific software
- Implement and maintain a fleet management system to ensure proper maintenance and utilization of company vehicles.
- Utilize management software to track inventory, generate reports, and streamline operations.
- Oversee the operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe manner.
- Implement SOPs and also help to create SOPs where needed.
- Assist crew and train crew in the warehouse with pulling, loading, offloading and restocking equipment.
- Be available to venture into the field to help train, over see setups, conduct quality control and help cover shifts if required.
- Be on call for urgencies or emergencies
Requirements:
- General Manager or similar role in an environment where the main focus is pulling and loading equipment, offloading and inventory of equipment, managing delivery crews in the field while they setup and breakdown equipment, creating vehicle delivery routes and common warehouse upkeep and management.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, equipment management, and inventory control.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and extreme attention to detail.
- Forklift certification is preferred but not required.
