Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with an Iowa credit union in the search for a Senior Vice President of Lending. The SVP of Lending will provide executive leadership and strategic direction for all lending functions, overseeing consumer, mortgage, and business lending. This executive will be responsible for lending strategy, portfolio performance, credit quality, risk management, product development, and regulatory compliance while supporting the credit union's growth and member service objectives.Responsibilities:
- Lead all consumer and real estate lending operations, including underwriting, loan processing, documentation, and approvals.
- Develop and implement lending strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee loan portfolio performance, credit quality, collections, and risk management.
- Research, develop, and implement new lending products and programs to support growth.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the lending team while establishing performance standards and accountability.
- Manage the lending department budget and participate in strategic planning and ALCO.
- Represent the credit union within the community and industry.
Qualifications:
- Executive lending leadership experience within a credit union or community financial institution.
- Strong background in consumer, mortgage, and business lending.
- Experience developing lending strategy, managing credit quality, and overseeing collections.
- Knowledge of NCUA regulations and lending compliance.
- Proven leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
