Job Summary The Assistant General Manager provides critical operational leadership to ensure guest satisfaction, brand compliance, and financial success. This role oversees daily operations with a heavy focus on front office management, guest loyalty, and localized sales efforts. The AGM serves as the secondary leader on property, collaborating directly with the General Manager to drive revenue growth and maintain high Marriott service standards. Core Responsibilities Front Desk Operations & Scheduling Manage front office daily operations to ensure efficient check-in, check-out, and guest services. Build employee schedules that optimize labor costs while maintaining proper service coverage. Train team members on Marriott standard operating procedures and service behaviors. Guest Loyalty & Experience Drive Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program initiatives to consistently meet or exceed property enrollment goals. Respond to guest reviews across all platforms, including GXP and Medallia, within brand-mandated timeframes. Resolve guest issues in a timely, professional manner to maximize guest satisfaction scores. Sales, Groups, & Corporate Accounts Manage group blocks by building blocks in the property management system, monitoring cut-off dates, and tracking room pickups. Oversee direct bill accounts , managing the approval process and ensuring accurate invoicing. Prospect new sales leads within the local market to capture additional corporate and leisure business. Maintain local accounts by nurturing relationships with current corporate clients to secure repeat business. Draft meeting room contracts , managing the logistics, setups, and billing for the property's meeting space. Financial & Team Collaboration Partner with the GM and department heads to implement strategies aimed at reaching property revenue goals. Analyze operational expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Foster a collaborative environment across all departments to maintain high associate morale and performance. Qualifications Minimum of 2-3 years of hotel experience (Marriott experience strongly preferred). High proficiency with Marriott systems, including GXP. Proven track record of meeting sales, loyalty enrollment, or customer service metrics. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Pay:
$40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
