Job Description

Job Summary Do you get energy from building and leading effective teams? Do you enjoy selling the company vision to your team and doors and windows to clients? This is a role for a very specific kind of leader. The one who doesn't want another J-o-b, but feels a calling to build and grow people, teams, profit, and impact- and is happy to do it inside the window and door industry. The right person sees and treats problems as opportunities and turns them into growth. If this describes you, this may be the most important post you read this year. We are offering something rare. A real General Manager seat with: Core-value alignment Authority Accountability Financial upside No glass ceiling
THE OPPORTUNITY
You will take full ownership of a growing glass, window, and door business and be rewarded for it. Not symbolically. Not "in name only." In every way that actually matters: You run sales You run operations You lead the team You own the P&L And you are rewarded based on results This is not a maintenance role. This is not "keep things steady." This is a builder's seat: for someone who wants to shape systems, raise standards, grow revenue, continue to build a team, and turn a good business into a great one.
WHAT YOUR DAYS ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE
You meet with clients, diagnose needs, and close high-quality work. You don't just leave quotes, you lead homeowners to confident decisions. You coach your team as they run clean operations: scheduling, purchasing, installs, helping them grow in their unique abilities so everyone's job gets easier and while accomplishing more every quarter. You develop your people, not through pressure, but through standards, coaching, and accountability.
You understand the numbers:
margins, labor, profit and make smart adjustments that compound. You coach, sell, make decisions, correct quickly, and build momentum. Every improvement is tied directly back to your leadership.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Sales Leadership Drive consistent revenue through professional commercial and residential client consultations Build and manage a predictable sales pipeline Protect pricing discipline and margins Set the standard for how selling is done Operations Oversee a team member who schedules, purchases, and runs inventory Oversee and coach installers Ensure quality control and client satisfaction Improve systems to increase throughput and reduce errors Create ever increasing organization and results People Leadership Lead, coach, and hold accountable the office and install teams Recruit, hire, onboard, and when necessary, fire, team members Run limited focused meetings, 1:1s, and continuous performance conversations Build on a culture of ownership and care P&L Ownership Own revenue, gross margin, labor efficiency, and net profit Review monthly financials and adjust strategically Build annual budgets and quarterly targets and hit them Report directly to ownership with clarity and confidence
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN 12-18 MONTHS
Revenue is on-target with a clear growth path and trajectory Margins are on-target Installs run on-schedule and on-estimate Callbacks are minimized The team is stable, skilled, and accountable, and enjoying their daily work Systems run smoothly with 80% of time proactive vs reactive You are responsible for the above happening Qualifications
WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR
You likely have: Proven experience selling doors and windows or similar residential construction services Experience leading people and managing day‑to‑day operations Strong project management and organizational skills Confidence making decisions and owning outcomes The ability to think strategically and execute tactically The drive to build something, not just manage it You do not need to be perfect.
