This job was posted by https://illinoisjoblink.illinois.gov : For more information, please see: https://illinoisjoblink.illinois.gov/jobs/13614623 The Role The Assistant Vice President/Vice President, Crop Insurance sells and services crop insurance policies while educating and providing value added services to the member and promotes Farm Credit Illinois to enhance marketplace awareness and member experience. What You Will Contribute Build relationships and generate new business by actively engaging in the agricultural community, developing referral sources, and participating in industry and member events. {=html}
- Grow the crop insurance portfolio by identifying sales opportunities, developing risk management strategies, and recommending crop insurance solutions tailored to member needs.
- Educate producers on crop insurance products, risk management practices, and agricultural programs while serving as a trusted resource.
- Manage a portfolio of crop insurance policies by maintaining accurate applications, acreage reports, endorsements, production reports, and other policy documentation.
- Provide proactive claim support by identifying potential claim situations, guiding members through the claims process, and monitoring claim outcomes.
- Ensure accurate and timely policy administration by reviewing documents for compliance, utilizing technology and CRM tools, and coordinating with processing teams.
- Maintain expertise in crop insurance products, market conditions, industry trends, and federal and state agricultural programs through ongoing education and professional development.
- Assistant Vice President level:
- No prior experience required Vice President level: Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or an ag-related field Valid crop insurance licensed required within three months from time of hire Willingness and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
