Sagent is seeking a Specialty Business Manager for the Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee territory. Residing in the territory is required. The Specialty Business Manager is responsible for the achievement of Sagent Specialty Product sales objectives in their defined territory, with an emphasis on the current lead products. A successful candidate will define and identify new business opportunities and function in and contribute to the overall team success. This includes achieving assigned sales goals, providing excellent customer service, distributor vendor management and all appropriate administrative duties. This role has a base salary, earns quarterly commissions based on performance and has a monthly car allowance. Success in the role is measured on: Successful attainment of quarterly/yearly sales quotas Develop and maintain relationships with doctors, nurses, physician assistants, and associated office and other clinical staff within the defined territory. Proper compliance with CMS Open Payments Program/Physician Sunshine Act/Trial and Demo Sampling Programs Comply with all state and federal regulations and guidelines and company policies related to the marketing and sales of a pharmaceutical product
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Routine on-person sales calls specific to urology, urogynecology and gynecology with clearly communicated product demonstrations and in-servicing Proper call preparation, planning and reporting Conduct territory analysis via Sagent s CRM systems and perform territory administrative duties Maintain strong communications via phone, email, local/regional/national association s meetings, and other forms of communication with targeted accounts & clinicians in defined territory Execute brand strategies to ensure a consistent company sales and marketing message Minimum Qualifications /
Experience:
The successful candidate will develop and manage a territory selling Sagent Specialty Products to the hospital, clinic, physician offices and surgery centers. A knowledge of Group Purchasing Organizations, Distributor Vendors, and clinical sales to physicians is highly desired. Minimum 2+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred. Or comparable experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in direct technical sales Ability to learn, comprehend and apply medical and scientific information to drive increased product utilization among targeted customers. Basic computer skills (experience in with Microsoft Office). Strong communication skills and interpersonal acumen. Education /
Certifications:
Minimum 4-year degree required or equivalent experience and a proven track record of sales achievements. Demonstrated success in their previous sales career Competence with Microsoft Office tools required. Successful applicants must pass a thorough background check. Valid driver s license required. Travel Requirements Willingness to travel - up to 12 overnights per month or 60% travel depending on the territory. (4 field days per week is the expectation) Must reside in the territory assigned.
