Washington St. Indianapolis, IN, 46229 Store Management Trainee - Full Time / Part Time The Store Management Trainee delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. This position is designed to provide exposure to the many facets of operations, management, leadership, process excellence, career pathing, professional development and mentorship. This is also designed to provide an accelerated career track and experience that can be applied internally within The UPS Store or externally through progressive management positions. The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, preferably some college experience, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance and approach to work. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business, so they can proceed to advance to the Management Associate position and if available Assistant Manager and Branch Manager positions.RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others Rapidly learns all there is to do to lead the retail operations and gains progressive exposure to management responsibilities. Becomes certified in all areas outlined for career progression Takes on the attitudes of "Owning the Business" and saying "Yes" to customer solutions Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment Performs other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required, College experience preferred Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites Outstanding phone skills An eagerness to grow your career and business accumen Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math Prompt, reliable, and responsible Able to lift 40+ pounds Availability to work weekends All roles at the company are under a 90 day probationary periodPay:
