October 1, 2026 General Manager Baton Rouge, LA Starting at $90,000 / per year Full time Apply Now Back Job Description Currently seeking General Manager to oversee the operations of a processing facility for a local company with over 25 years of servicing the Baton Rouge area. This role will be responsible for the management of company assets while ensuring a safe work environment and maintaining oversight of all staff and training. This is a direct-hire position with a starting salary of $90,000 and an extensive benefits package including medical insurance, paid-time off, 401k with Match, and a car and phone allowance.

Position Responsibilities:

• Oversee management for the areas of receiving, processing, and delivery
• Develop and train staff to ensure proper processing of a quality product
• Manage expenses and budgeting tasks including forecasting
• Control labor, delivery, energy, and chemical costs while developing an efficient workforce
• Coordinate the installation and operation of new equipment and the maintenance of current equipment
• Oversee regulatory compliance and maintain plant safety for all employees and visitors
• Produce weekly reports for inflow and outflow of product
• Interact with customers, creating an open line of communication to ensure order accuracy

Previous Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in management or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 10 years of operations/management experience in operations or manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
