$100,000+ About the Opportunity We are seeking a hands-on Executive Director (Onsite Operator) to lead a well-established early childhood school in Canton, Baltimore. This school is successful, full, and highly regarded in the community—but is ready for its next phase of growth under strong, consistent leadership. You'll inherit a capable, caring team that is eager for direction, support, and structure. This is an opportunity for a leader who thrives in people development, culture building, and operational excellence—not a turnaround situation, but a stabilization and elevation role.
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:
$100,000+

Access to a growing network of schools and leadership team The Role As Executive Director, you will serve as the on-site leader responsible for daily operations, team development, and school performance. You will lead a team that includes: Director of Education Director of Operations Assistant Director This role requires a leader who is visible, present, and engaged daily—someone who builds trust, develops people, and creates consistency across the school. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the administrative leadership team Build a structured, consistent operating environment Support, coach, and retain high-quality teaching staff Ensure excellent parent experience and communication Oversee staffing, scheduling, and daily school operations Partner with ownership and central leadership on broader initiatives Reduce operational strain by building team capacity and accountability Maintain compliance and prepare for future accreditation goals Who You Are You are a servant leader and operator who leads through presence, trust, and accountability. You're looking to build, guide, and elevate. Leadership Style We Value Hands-on and highly visible Supportive, coaching-oriented leadership approach Strong communicator with high emotional intelligence Organized, consistent, and operationally strong Able to balance empathy with accountability Ideal Background 3-5+ years of leadership experience in: Early childhood education (preferred), or Education, childcare, or service-based operations Experience leading teams within a structured environment (100+ students or equivalent complexity) Proven ability to develop leaders and build strong teams Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, or related field. Work Environment & Expectations Full-time, on-site leadership role Open availability required (including opening/closing shifts as needed) Collaborative leadership structure with engaged ownership and central support
