In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of the auto body shop, ensuring top-tier quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Your leadership will drive operational excellence, foster a motivated team, and uphold the highest standards of automotive repair and refinishing. Responsibilities Lead daily shop operations, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs while maintaining exceptional quality standards. Manage and motivate a team of technicians, estimators, and support staff to achieve productivity goals and uphold safety protocols. Oversee vehicle damage assessment using computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software, ensuring accurate scope of work and cost estimates. Supervise auto body repairs including collision repair, auto painting, auto glass replacement, aluminum and metal fabrication, and automotive refinishing techniques. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe working environment. Coordinate with clients to communicate repair progress, explain technical details clearly, and provide excellent customer service. Maintain inventory of hand tools, power tools, paints, auto body parts, and other materials necessary for daily operations. Conduct root cause analysis for defect resolution to improve processes and reduce rework or callbacks. Oversee heavy lifting procedures and ensure proper use of equipment for safe handling of vehicle parts during repairs. Implement best practices in detailing, auto restoration, and vehicle maintenance to deliver outstanding results on every project. Experience Proven dealership experience or collision repair shop background with comprehensive knowledge of automotive body repair processes. Strong mechanical knowledge including auto repair fundamentals, auto painting techniques, auto glass installation, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (including aluminum welding), and metal fabrication techniques. Familiarity with computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software and automotive repair management systems. Knowledge of safety regulations related to collision repair shops and the proper use of PPE in all work activities. Experience in client communication with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers. Prior leadership experience managing a team within an automotive or collision repair environment is highly preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety standards; physical stamina for demanding tasks is essential. Join us as we drive excellence in automotive collision repair!
