Responsibilities Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure smooth business flow. Oversee inventory management activities such as stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing, and inventory control to optimize sales opportunities. Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to resolve issues promptly. Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing potential candidates and onboarding new employees to build a strong team. Manage cash handling procedures, POS systems, cashiering tasks, and payroll processing with accuracy and attention to detail. Coordinate shift schedules, supervise staff during peak hours, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards. Skills Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail or grocery industry. Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated team management and supervisory experience. Excellent communication skills, including managerial communication, bilingual or multilingual capabilities preferred for diverse customer bases. Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, bookkeeping, and basic math for pricing and sales calculations. Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, budgeting, operational management, and merchandising strategies to maximize store performance. Ability to train staff effectively on customer service excellence, sales techniques, store policies, and product knowledge.
