General Manager Car Center - 4.3 Grand Rapids, MI Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications Vendor relationship building Estimating software Conflict management Team motivation (leadership skill) Full Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Lead team to EDGE all external and internal customers through consistent execution of proprietary Car Center process Meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators including CSI, profitability, cycle time, etc Execute efficient and effective production practices to push workflow through the shop Foster relationships with insurance partners and preferred vendors Express interest in supporting the company's community marketing and engagement efforts by seeking opportunities to get involved when possible. Manage and maintain the operating budget for designated collision repair facility Forecast, target and track monthly sales, profit and expense objectives Maintain a clean and organized facility Monitor shop facilities, equipment, and resources Conduct daily production meetings to confirm delivery dates Participate and facilitate all required leadership and management meetings/trainings Attend ongoing training, information sessions and workshops required Ensure all team members participate and keep current on all trainings including
I-CAR, KPA
Safety training, etc Enforce all company policies, procedures, and processes Assume full responsibility for center profit and loss (P&L) management, including following cash control and security procedures, managing supply and materials costs, managing staffing, and facilitating materials and supply ordering and management Provides leadership, management and oversight to all center personnel; including but not limited to hiring, training, developing, performance reviews, promoting, managing compensation and corrective action Ensures all personnel and team members understand all key performance indicators (KPI's) and are given the proper training and support to meet or exceed all KPI's consistently Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) 5+ years of experience in a similar management/leadership role; automotive industry experience ( preferred ) Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills ( required ) Proficiency with estimating systems (CCC) and insurance direct repair guidelines ( required ) Strong ability to inspire and encourage team members toward a common goal Leans into conflict with ease Experience managing a budget or monthly sales ( preferred ) I-CAR or ASE Certifications ( preferred ) Our Core Values Attitude = Altitude Do the right thing, work hard, have fun, stay humbly confident.
