Salary TBD (commensurate with experience) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial General Manager to lead the launch and early growth of a new aviation startup. This individual will be responsible for translating strategy into execution—overseeing day-to-day operations, assisting with regulatory compliance, staffing, and commercial performance as the company moves from pre-launch through initial operations and into expansion. Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership
• Lead day-to-day company operations from pre-launch through revenue service
• Establish and manage operational processes across flight operations, dispatch, maintenance coordination, and customer experience
• Be primary company spokesperson
• Understand airport partners airline incentive programs
• Comfort with negotiating with airport CEO and air service development staff to secure key operational incentives in order to optimize operations.
• Assist with readiness for FAA operations and ongoing compliance at all stages
• Assist company leadership with compliance with FAA regulations, including applicable operating authority
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies, airports, vendors, and external partners
• Maintain required manuals, procedures, and internal controls
• People & Team Management
• Recruit, hire, and manage key operational and administrative staff
• Build a safety-focused, professional, and customer-oriented culture
• Establish clear performance expectations and accountability
• Financial & Commercial Oversight
• Manage budgets, operating costs, and financial performance
• Support pricing, service planning, and performance tracking
• Oversee vendor, insurance, and service agreements related to operational needs

Qualifications Required:

• 3-4+ years of experience in aviation or a tourism focused industry
• Strong working knowledge of aviation operations and compliance
• Proven experience managing teams and budgets
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills

Preferred:

• Experience with Part 135 or similar operations
• Background in aviation management or safety
